Friday, Nov. 6: Big Break finale at the Westcott Theater
The Westcott Theater’s Big Break moves into the final round tonight with the winner of the summer-long competition to be determined.
Finalists will perform in the following order: Phantom Chemistry (7 p.m.), Juice Break (8 p.m.), Augustine (9 p.m.), Gracious Sakes Alive (10 p.m.), and Sophistafunk (11 p.m.). The winner will be announced at 12:30 a.m.
Come out and support your favorite band and hear some of CNY’s best live music. Bands are judged not only on their performances, but also on fan support.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. Admission is $10.

- Folk singer John Gorka is at May Memorial United Unitarian Universalist Society (3800 E. Genesee St.) at 8 p.m. Tickets are $12.
- The Paul Taylor Dance Company performs with the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra at Mulroy Civic Center, Syracuse. Tickets range from $15 to $70.
- The Red Line Sax Quartet from the University of Rochester’s Eastman School of Music perform as part of the Arts Across Campus series at Storer Auditorium on the Onondaga Community College campus. The concert starts at 11:15 a.m. and admission is free.
