Robin Williams to perform Nov. 17 at the Landmark
Comedian Robin Williams brings his Weapons of Self Destruction tour to Syracuse’s
Landmark Theatre (362 S. Salina St.) on November 17. The show starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are $89.50, $79.50 and $59.50.
The tour was originally set for last fall/winter, but was delayed after Williams underwent an emergency aeortic valve replacement.
Williams, who turned 58 in July, first came to the public’s attention as Mork from Ork on the TV series Happy Days. His character was the foundation for the successful spin-off, Mork and Mindy, which debuted in 1978 and ran until 1984.
Williams has had much success as a stand-up comedian. He is also a successful actor, appearing in nearly 80 films. He won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for the 1997 film Good Will Hunting. He has also won three Golden Globes and two Screen Actors Guild Awards.
