Saturday, July 18: Benefit, Joe Driscoll at the Westcott Theater

Syracuse’s own musician/rapper/beatboxer, Joe Driscoll , takesjoedriscoll.jpg a break from his European tour and returns home for a special show at the Westcott Theater (524 Westcott St.). The show starts at 8 p.m.

Earlier in the day, the Westcott will host a benefit for local musician Leonard Stephens Jr and The American Cancer Society. Featured bands include Electric Relaxation, Sophistifunk, Seth Marcel, the Brownskin Band, and the Custom Taylor Band.

The event runs from 2 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $25.

Up and coming singer/songwriter Emilee Smith celebrates the release of her first CD, Hall of Mirrors, with a party at the Barge Canal Coffee Company (37 Lebanon St., Hamilton).  The event starts at 8 p.m. and admission is free.

White Picket Fence celebrates the release of their CD, Clocks and Calendars, with a special show at the Westcott Community Center (826 Euclid Ave,). The music starts at 8 p.m.

Free Reign opens for Ozzmosis at Papermill Island in Baldwinsville. Music starts at 6 p.m. and admission is $5.

Brass Inc. performs at the Valley Field Days (Meacham Field off Valley Drive) at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free.
