Friday, July 17: Syracuse Nationals and much more

Classic cars will take over Central New York this weekend as the annual Syracuse Nationals come to town. The event, which takes place at the Empire Expo Center at the New York State Fairgrounds, features a variety of events, including some great live music. Check out The Jam Bones at noon and El Kabong at 2:30 p.m.

Also tonight…
Boys Like Girls, Never Shout Never, and The Ready Set perform at the Westcott Theater (524 Westcott St.). Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Chris Taylor and the Custom Taylor Band perform at the East Syracuse Fire Department (204 N. Center St., East Syracuse). Music starts at 8 p.m.
Two Man Push performs in the Market Place Mall parking lot (Main Street, Cortland) as part of the Main Street Music Series. The concert starts at 6 p.m. and admission is free.
Dick Canty and Doug MacDonald perform as part of the Hatts Project at 6:30 p.m. at the Delevan Art Gallery (501 W. Fayette St.). Admission is $10.
The Tullamore Celtic Band provide the music to which students in the Young School of Irish Dance will perform at Sonneberg Gardens & Mansion State Historic Park (151 Charlotte St., Canandaigua). The show starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for members, and $4 for children 6-17.
Trombone Shorty is at the Earlville Opera House (6. E. Main St., Earlville). The show starts at 8 p.m. and general admission is $22, $20 for members, and $17 for students.
