Sunday, July 12: New York State Blues Fest continues
The New York State Blues Festival continues today in Syracuse’s Clinton Square. John Hammond (right)
and his quartet headline today’s events.

Fritz’s Polka Band performs at benefit
Fritz’s Polka Band will be performing at a benefit for Keith James at the Verona Fire Hall (1 Volunteer Ave., Verona). The benefit will run from 1 to 6 p.m. Along with the music, which starts at 3 p.m., there will be food, a 50/50 raffle, basket raffles, face painting for the kids, and more.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for kids 6-12. Children 5 and under will be admitted free.
Judy Collins in Skaneateles
Judy Collins will headline a benefit gala to support the Skaneateles Arts Council at the Stella Maris Retreat Center on Skaneateles Lake. “A Mid-Summer Night’s Dream” starts at 6 p.m.
Tickets for the event, which are $250 for VIP seating and $125 for regular seating, can be purchased at the Skaneateles Area Chamber of Commerce (22 Jordan St., Skaneateles).

TK99’s Dave Frisina is at Shifty’s (1401 Burnet Ave.) for a live broadcast. Dave’s guest band is Sirsy. Music starts at 7 p.m.
Sarah Horner and Greg Carroll perform at the Owasco Yacht Club (East Lake Rd., Auburn) at 11 a.m. and Paul Taylor entertains diners on the Uncle Sam’s Boat Tour in Alexandria Bay starting at 7 p.m.
Crystal LaPoint and Tom McKay perform at 3 p.m. at May Memorial Unitarian Universalist Society (3800 E. Genesee St., DeWitt). The program, which is part of the Pianists Choice series, is free.
