Tuesday, July 7: Sunset Safari at the zoo and more
The Sunset Safari Music Series kicks off at 5:30 p.m. tonight at Syracuse’s Rosamond
Gifford Zoo (1 Conservatory Place). The event, which runs each Tuesday in July, includes live music, a cash bar, a gourmet picnic, dinner, and a chance to watch the sunset at the zoo.
This week, music is provided by The Fab Five. Tickets are $8 at the gates. Click here for menus and pricing on food.
After FX performs tonight at Baldwinsville’s Papermill Island (Off Route 48 by Lock 24) . Music starts at 6:30 p.m.
Mood Swing is at the Ernest N. Casale Amphitheatre in Clay Park Central (Wetzel Rd.). The concert starts at 6:30 p.m. and admission is free.
Fritz’s Polka Band performs a free show at Pulaski Park in New York Mills. The concert starts at 7 p.m.

There’s karaoke with Ormond Entertainment at Mac’s Bad Art Bar (1799 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale) starting at 10 p.m. and at ShamROCKS! Rock and Roll Irish Pub (109 E. Taft Rd., North Syracuse) with Token Tom, also at 9 p.m.
Joe Henson hosts an open mike at the Village Tavern (6 E. Main St., Marcellus) at 7:30 p.m. There’s also an open mike at Lock 24 (33 Water St., Baldwinsville) with Sweetlou starting at 8:30 p.m.
Colin Aberdeen is at the Limerick Pub (134 Walton St.) at 10 p.m. and Michael Crissan is at the Retreat (308 Vine St., Liverpool) at 7 p.m.
Mike Shiel is at Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar (3975 Rt. 31, Clay) at 8 p.m. and JD and Rollin South perform at the Regional Market (2100 Park St.) at 4 p.m.
