Saturday, July 4: Music and fireworks in the ‘Cuse
It’s the Fourth of July and there’s lots to do in and around the ‘Cuse. Here’s what’s up!
There will be live music and fireworks at Papermill Island in Baldwinsville. The Guise performs at 7 p.m. followed by Sharp Dressed Penguins at 8 p.m. The Budweiser Fireworks start after the concert. Admission is $7.
The July 4th Fireworks Spectacular takes place at the Empire Expo Center at the New York State Fairgrounds (581 State Fair Blvd.). The S.U. Brass Ensemble kicks things off at 6 p.m. followed by a performance of patriotic songs by the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra at 8 p.m. Gates open at 5 p.m. and there is no admission charge.
The second annual Sterling Stage String Fling continues today at the Sterling Stage (Kent Rd., Sterling). Day passes are $50 at the gate. Click here for a performance schedule.
Outdoor concerts
The Fulton Chain Gang performs at the West Winfield Field Days (Main St., West Winfield) and Jamie Notarthomas is at Arrowhead Park (160 Route 28, Inlet) starting at 7 p.m.
Gary Dunes Band performs at the Manlius Recreation Bldg. (Stickley Dr., Manlius) at 4 p.m. and Letizia and the Z Band is at the Manlius Village Offices (1 Arkie Albanese Ave., Manlius) starting at 7 p.m.
Skyline and Cassidy Lynn are at the Chenango County Fairgrounds (East Main St., Norwich) at 7 p.m. and The Jam Bones are at Empire Haven Campgrounds (Sun Lane, Moravia) starting at 8 p.m.
