Saturday, June 20: Cruz and Blues, and much more
Bikers United presents Cruz and Blues ‘09 a charity event
to raise money for people who have been injured in motorcycle accidents. The event, which starts at noon with a 75-mile bike ride, takes place at Preferred Powersports (8932 Brewerton Rd., Brewerton).
Music starts at 1:30 p.m. Featured bands include the Chris Terra Band, Rhythm Method, Kat Tale, and Elmo Blake. General admission is $10, which includes food and entertainment. The fee to participate in the ride is $25.
Blessing of the Fleet in B’Ville
The Greater Baldwinsville Chamber of Commerce’s annual Blessing of the Fleet takes place today and offers an additional incentive to participate. The Chamber will be giving away two tickets to the sold-out August 4 Dave Matthews Band show at Alliance Bank Stadium as well as auctioning off two tickets.
Admission to the clambake, which starts at 3:30 p.m. is $35. Purchasing a ticket to the clambake will enter you into the drawing for the DMB tickets. The events start at 10 a.m. with a Kids’ fishing derby at Mercer Park. A boat parade starts at 2 p.m. at Paper Mill Island, followed by the clambake.
Grupo Pagan with special guests The Evan Knight Band will provide the live music from 6 to 11 p.m.
Syracuse Polish Festival
The annual Syracuse Polish Festival continues today in Clinton Square, The event includes children’s entertainment, Polish arts and crafts, Polish food and beverages, and great entertainment.

1 p.m.: Ashley Cox
3 and 5 p.m.: Tatry Polish Folk Ensemble and Lechowia Dance Company
4, 7 and 9 p.m.: Figiel Brothers Band
6 p.m.: Pole of the Year announcement
6:10, 8 and 10 p.m.: Dennis Polisky and Maestro’s Man
7:45 and 8:45 p.m.: Lechowia

- Chicago, and Earth, Wind and Fire are at the Showroom at Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $102, $127 and $152.
- Tom Jones is at the Stanley Theatre (259 Genesee St., Utica) for an 8 p.m. show. Tickets range from $27 to $100.
- Nikstock 2009 continues at Thunder Mountain Speedway (Center Lisle - Whitney Point exit off Route 81). The event promises 40 bands and 100 kegs of beer! Tickets are $25.
