Music in the ‘Cuse

There’s lots of live music in and around the ‘Cuse this Sunday. Here’s what’s going on.

Doc Apple, Todd Hobin, The Predators, and Gypsy Fit perform today at Oswego Elks Lodge (132 W. Fifth St., Oswego)  at a benefit for Bobbie Castaldo of North Syracuse.

The show starts at 11 a.m. and includes a chicken barbecue dinner. A $10 donation is requested.

Also today…

Rosetta, The Handshake Murders, Torchbearer and others perform at Westcott Community Center (826 Euclid Ave.). The concert starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are $8.

DJ SugarBear spins tunes at today’s Rock and Dance Beach Blast at Harpoon Eddies (611 Park St., Sylvan Beach). The party starts at 2 p.m.

The Feed Your Soul Food and Music Celebration takes place today at Mohawk Valley Community College’s Alumni Center. The event features music from Rick Montalbano, the Carmen Caramanica Trio, and Grupo Pagán. Food will be provided by Juanita Bass and Sodexo Food Service will provide the food for the event.

Tickets are $25 at the door, $10 for children under 12, and free for children under 5. Proceeds will benefit the Daron Malik Jae Simpson Memorial Scholarship for Single Mothers at MVCC. Call (315)735-2945 for ticket information.

The Joe Whiting Band performs at Marcellus Park (2449 Platt Rd., Marcellus) at 1 p.m. Admission is free.
