It’s Hump Day and that means there’s plenty of live music in and around the ‘Cuse. Here’s what’s going on:
The Westcott Theater (524 Westcott St.) will be rockin’ once again as the Compassion Tour featuring the Hollywood Undead and more hit the stage. Tickets are $16 in advance, $19 the day of the show. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the music starts at 8 p.m.

Syracuse radio station 93Q has announced the lineup for this year’s Summer Jam on the Island at Papermill Island in Baldwinsville. The event, which takes place June 5, will include performances by ‘American Idol’s’ Elliott Yamin along with 3-Oh!3, White Tie Affair, Jessie James, and Safety Suit.
The event is free, but in order to get tickets, you have to listen to the station and enter their contest, which starts April 30 at 6 a.m. At 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays, a secret word will be announced. To enter the contest, you need to text that secret word to 68683 before the end of the hour in which the word was announced.
At the end of the hour, ten random winners will be selected from that hour’s correct entries! Winners will receive a text from 93Q. They then must bring the phone with the message to the station at 1064 James St. between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays.
You can also enter online by filling out a form or by listening to 93Q and calling in when the contest lines are open.
There will be a total of 500 winners. The contest runs through June 4 at 6 p.m.
Enjoy an evening of music at Cazenovia High School’s Annual Jazz Night. The concert features Josh DeKaney and takes place at the Cazenovia High School auditorium (31 Emory Ave., Cazenovia). The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and admission is free

Kid Rock has been added to the lineup for the 2009 New York State Fair . The five-time Grammy winning rap/rocker will hit the stage at the Mohegan Sun Grandstand on Saturday, Sept. 5. Tickets are $45 and $50. Admission to the Fair is included with the price of the ticket.
The addition of Kid rock brings the number of Grandstand shows to six, including Kelly Clarkson and Gavin DeGraw (Aug. 27); Kenny Chesney (Aug. 28); Jeff Dunham (Aug. 30); Crue Fest (Sept. 3); and Big and Rich (Sept. 4).
Tickets for all Grandstand shows can be purchased at the New York State Fair Box Office on Saturday, May 9 from 10.m. to 2 p.m. You can also buy tickets online through Ticketmaster.com or by phone (1-800-745-3000 or 1-866-448-7849).
The Syracuse University Wind Ensemble performs works from Shastakovich, Copland, Husa, and other composers at Setnor Auditorium, Crouse College on the Syracuse University campus. The concert starts at 8 p.m. and admission is free.
