Three new acts announced for NYS Fair’s Chevy Court
Three more acts have been announced for free concerts at this summer’s New York State Fair. Darius Rucker , Rick Springfield , and Boyz II Men will perform at Chevy Court.
Rucker, (right) who broke out at lead singer for Hootie and the Blowfish and is now touring as a solo country artist, performs August 30. Sara Evans’ appearance has been moved up to opening day, August 27.
“All of these performers are talented stars who pack venues across the country,” New York State Fair Director Dan O’Hara said in a press release. “We are delighted to be able to give families an opportunity to enjoy them for the price of Fair admission.”
O’Hara has stated that this summer’s fair will double the number of free shows at Chevy Court, making entertainment more affordable for fairgoers.
Previously, the fair announced the Chevy Court appearances of The Four Tops (August 31) and Switchfoot (September 4).
The only grandstand show that has been announced to date is the Kenny Chesney show scheduled for August 28 at 8 p.m.
